Earlier this year on Ukulele Friday 3 I featured the very talented, very coordinated and possibly very inebriated Gianni from Walk Off The Earth.
Recently, I happened to stumble on their cover of Adele’s Someone Like You and the screaming hipster inside burned to protest against the ‘sell outs’. But then I learned a bit more about WOTE and it turns out that they’re quite the independent band that just happens to do Youtube covers, a good old paradox in commercial music and new media.
So I carried on watching and found that they’re all very talented, very coordinated and very inebriated…on musical skill. If that isn’t enough, Sarah Blackwood picks up a ukulele midway. And the rest is history. You’re welcome.
